DIY Upcycled Garden Markers

These DIY Upcycled Garden Markers are pretty easy to make. Make sure you bring you pun game when writing out your markers too!



Materials:

Jar lids

Awl or nail to poke holes

Hammer or mallet

Self healing mat, or other item to protect from awl or nail holes

Paint brush

Acrylic paint

Palette for paint

Wire - 18 gauge will work best, but use what you have

Wire cutters

Your pun game

Tea Painting in Joshua Tree - pack your friends and make art in the desert

My lady squad and I took our art out-of-doors for tea painting in Joshua Tree, CA. Natalie @lesswastemoreadventure used our orange peels to make an organic rough edge. Maddie @folkdreams made a texture piece that represented the desert floor. I drew the organic peaks by layering the tea to make darker areas.



Materials:

Brewed tea - I used expired Thai tea

Container for tea

Brushes

Watercolor paper



If you are going to the desert:

Sunscreen

Water

Oranges
