I read The Life-Changing Magic of Tidying Up by Marie Kondo and it helped me understand how I should be cleaning. My whole life I've been a messy person, but after the book I felt I could tackle my stuff with a better outlook. However there I knew there were some rules and guidelines in the book I couldn't follow. So I made up some of my own guidelines.

Let me know your experience with Marie Kondo's Spark Joy Method. If you use her book as a guide for Spring Cleaning I think your place will get tidy and stay manageable for sure!

Magic Bruschetta Recipe - helps fight colds - super tasty!

Here's the recipe for making the yummiest bruschetta:

3-4 tomatoes

approximately 3/4 C basil

approximately 1/2 C red onion

1-2 cloves if you are just starting on your raw garlic eating adventures, 2-3 if you are used to raw garlic or Italian

A splash of olive oil

A splash of Balsamic vinegar

Salt and pepper to taste



Chop up everything and add into a bowl, add rest of ingredients and stir! Eat and feel better.



Quick note: raw garlic is SPICY! It is very yummy, but it has a kick.

The Plus Bus - plus size consignment, used and vintage clothing - body p...

Megan @megmodels the conceptual artist and body positivity advocate, had an event at The Plus Bus. It's a really cool plus size clothing shop in LA. They take trade-in used but still nice clothing, and will give you store credit. They both were so kind and generous, and let me film some of the event.



I found Megan's IG a few years ago, when I was just starting Break + Remake and feeling like I needed to change how I looked to be on camera. At the time I knew that fashion magazines were not healthy for me to look at, so I had already stopped. But I was still looking for a guide, I guess that's what you would call it, to help me see I could be in frame and in focus. Megan helped me see this. Follow her on IG and buy her prints!



Selina was performing at the event, and was super chill and let me talk to her about body positivity too, and her quote was the best. "Love you some you" -Selina Carrera. Tweet it, write it on your mirror. If you are an artist make prints and give Selina some love.

DIY Rosewater Witch Hazel - great face toner - from frozen rose petals

Did you know? DIY rose water is super easy to make. And this rosewater witch hazel is great to use in the evenings, it makes a lovely toner.



Fun tip: I froze my rose petals from the last batch of rosewater I made. It worked out GREAT! So if you buy roses - try to get local to you and organic - get a dozen and freeze half of the petals.



Keep your left over rose water in the fridge, or give it to a friend. It spoils pretty fast if it doesn't have witch hazel in it.



Materials:

6-7 roses worth of petals.

Jar or bottle to keep your rosewater

witch hazel

filtered water

a pot for boiling your rose petals

strainer

DIY Makeup remover wipes! These will replace the cotton rounds in your beauty routine. It's a quick sewing project, so you can whip a bunch up in an afternoon.



I really like the exfoliating towel scrubbiness on my face. However after I had been using the wipes for a few days, I realized the towel was too rough around my eyes. So I backed the towel with flannel. So soft! These work great to take off face makeup!
